The Southern States Dahlia Association and Tennessee Dahlia Society would like to welcome each ADS member to the great city of Chattanooga which is full of Southern history and Southern beauty. It is situated on the Tennessee river at the base of the famous Lookout Mountain and where a number of civil war battles took place. Chattanooga began as a major transportation hub and still retains that distinction today with three major Inter-state highways merging in the area.

We have been planning this show to be one of the best ever, with the unique Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel being our convention hotel. You can read about it on their website on our hotel information page, plus you can experience staying in a railway car for your room which will bring back a lot of memories from traveling in the 40’s and 50’s when trains were in vogue. Those never having experienced sleeping in a Pullman car, this is an opportunity to do so with much better accommodations.

Thursday evening we will have a reception in your honor from 7-9 PM, which will be an opportunity for ADS members from all over the country to gather together for light refreshments and wonderful conversation. This is always a most enjoyable time for those in attendance.

Friday will be spent touring some of the Southern dahlia gardens of members of the Tennessee Dahlia Society. A box lunch will be served. Dinner will be on your own Friday evening.

Saturday is show day, so judging will take place in the morning and the show will open to the public around 12:30 PM. A buffet luncheon will be served for registered attendees. The Saturday night awards banquet will be another unique feature of the weekend with dinner on a riverboat cruising the beautiful Tennessee River in the twilight of the evening.

Sunday the Classification Committee will meet followed by the annual ADS business meeting.
